Surfing: I grew up on Summerleaze Beach, Bude in north Cornwall. Surfing and crabbing while my father hired out surf craft to holidaymakers from a small hut. I have made it tradition as i now run the bsx school of surfing on the same beach. I am currently a bsa level 3 surf coach and specialise in one to one coaching and running the after school clubs. We have a team of instructors and run lessons everyday for individuals, groups from beginner to advanced. Its rad. Photography: I started taking pictures in 1994 when i picked up an old nikon slr at college. I taught myself and before i knew it i was taking pictures to make a living. I quickly became interested in surf/travel photography however after losing more than one expensive camera body from leaky housings i turned to portraits. I spent over a year assisting at a studio in north london learning to use artificial light before striking it out on my own. I have moved back to cornwall and set up my own studio. It is great being back by the sea. Ultimately i would like the photography scene in london to visit me in cornwall. I am currently shooting portraits, weddings and surf photography.
